      Bersano is a leading Italian wine producer based in Nizza Monferrato, Piedmont. Its portfolio covers a number of DOC and DOCG appellations across the region. The main native varieties cultivated are Nebbiolo for Barolo, and Barbera. With the latter there is a special focus on the Nizza DOCG, a former subzone of the Barbera d'Asti DOCG whose wines earned separate status in 2014 and which has considerably stricter production rules. In all Bersano farms 230 hectares (568 acres) of vineyards across Langhe and Monferrato, divided among ten historic farmsteads.
