Distillery Information

Built in 1974 as a model distillery, Auchroisk show-cases a still-house containing eight lantern-headed pot stills that are arranged in two neat rows. Auchroisk single malt was originally sold under the Singleton brand. However since the takeover by Diageo, the Singleton brand is now used for Glen Ord, Glendullan and Dufftown malts and Auchroisk is released under its own name. Interestingly, Auchroisk was one of the first distilleries to finish their whisky in a sherry cask. It is mostly used in their wide reange of blanded Scotch whiskies, especially J&B Rare and Johnnie Walker, as a result, single malts are found in independent bottler releases alongside Diageo's Flora and Fauna core series.
