Craigellachie 11 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish Darkness Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 500ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Soft, juicy peaches and apricots, toasted marzipan, vanilla custard, burnt brown sugar.

Palate: Stone fruits and vanilla cream open the way for candied almonds and roasted walnuts before woody notes of cinnamon sticks and liquorice arrive.

Finish: Dark, treacly toffee, warming nutmeg, anise.

Distillery Information

Craigellachie features some very specific production techniques: barley from an oil fired kiln giving more weight, short stills and worm tub condensers to minimise copper contact. The team do 21 mashes per week, have 8 wash backs and 4 copper pot stills.
