Nose: Well-balanced, refined. Sherried peels. Barley, hints of smoke, peat. Fruitcake. Spices.

Palate: Vanilla, dark brown sugar, rum spice. Sherry.

Finish: Long, fruitcake, buttery, fudge, oak.

Distillery Information

"Cutty Sark whisky's story starts in 1923 with Berry Bros. & Rudd, aiming for a light, smooth Scotch for the US market, named after the famous clipper ship, itself named from Robert Burns' poem. Its success surged during Prohibition when smuggler Bill McCoy carried it, earning it the "Real McCoy" nickname, becoming the first Scotch to sell a million cases in the US by 1961."
