A micro‑batch bourbon release comprising just eight barrels, fully matured aboard a river‑moored floating rickhouse on the Mississippi River in Kentucky. The mash bill is 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley, blended by Master Blender Scott Beyer. The “river aging” imparts an elevated complexity thanks to humidity, temperature shifts and constant motion of the float.

Nose: Vanilla frosting, fresh apple pie, cinnamon stick and faint oak smoke.

Palate: Milk chocolate, butter‑cream, chai spice, toasted pecan and warm rye spice.

Finish: Long and luxurious — caramelised sugar, nutmeg, warm oak and lingering rye pepper.

Distillery Information

The Ingram Distillery revives a historic American approach to whiskey maturation by aging barrels on river‑moored floating rickhouses, inspired by the founder Hank Ingram’s family legacy in river transport dating back to the mid-1800s. Officially incorporated as Brown Water Spirits in 2015, the distillery blends sourced distillate and matures it in its unique river environment. The “Mellowed on the Mississippi” motto reflects this distinctive process. Following a relocation and expansion in 2023 to Columbus, Kentucky, the distillery now operates multiple floating barrelhouses, continuing to produce small-batch, high-quality bourbon with a focus on balance, complexity, and heritage.
